Coconut Almond – Oriental Express
Aboard the royal blue carriage passengers look forward not to the final destination but the journey that travels throughout the gems of Europe. With sleeping cars and a luxurious dining car the only reminder of traveling are the flowing French vistas in the window. A four course meal is served as the history of France is re-enacted in the minds of the patrons. Afterwards, evening drinks are served alongside the bountiful views of the vineyards in Champagne. Among the visions of high society lies a hidden gem, creamy Coconut and Almond clusters. The combination surprises the patrons, the decadent almond butter cream envelopes crisp coconut becoming more than the sum of its parts. The confection becomes the center of attention and the staff tells the tale of French ingenuity applied to foreign delicacies to create a recipe that has been with the train since the maiden voyage.
